Outgoing state Rep. Ed Brooks will take on a new role in the fall election, as campaign treasurer for 50th Assembly District candidate Tony Kurtz.
While Brooks, R-Reedsburg, said it isn’t a “glamorous role,” he decided to support a candidate he believes could be a good replacement for him.
“I think he relates very well to the people in this district, and any way I can help him I wanted to do that,” Brooks said. “He’s also willing to listen to people and explain particular issues to them, and I think that will make him a better candidate.”
