With Republican Incumbent Ed Brooks’ recent decision to not seek a sixth term as state representative for district 50, Tony Kurtz has thrown his hat in the ring as Republican candidate for the upcoming November election.
Kurtz is an organic farmer and 20 year Army veteran who lives in Wonewoc. He worked for Sen. Ron Johnson in the past and currently serves on Wisconsin’s Organic Advisory Board.
District 50 covers all of Juneau County and parts of Monroe, Richland, Vernon and Sauk counties.
If elected, Kurtz hopes to frequently attend local events and make himself accessible to as many people as possible, as Brooks was known for doing.
