A former 3rd District Congressional candidate is running to replace retiring state Rep. Ed Brooks in the Wisconsin Assembly.
Tony Kurtz of Wonewoc announced his run Tuesday afternoon, the same day the five-term Republican from Reedsburg announced he would not seek re-election to his 50th District seat.
“I’m running for state representative to continue Ed’s strong legacy,” Kurtz said in a campaign announcement. “I aim to secure access to rural health care, create more job opportunities, ensure quality local schools, and hold the line on taxes.”
